Panasonic introduced its first image-stabilizing
system more than two decades ago.
The company has continued to refine its technology ever since. Every part of the system – sensors, computation algorithm, lens drive mechanism and more – has been re-examined, redesigned, and re-engineered. These efforts have borne fruit in the extremely sophisticated MEGA O.I.S. system featured in LUMIX. In recognition of the technological achievement this system represents, in 2003 Panasonic was given "The Imperial Invention Prize," the most prestigious award of its kind in Japan.  |
