LS75/LS70/LS60 TOP

Running on AA Batteries, Easy Zoom

Runs on Two AA Batteries

For convenience, the DMC-LS75/LS70/LS60 can be powered by two AA size batteries. The supplied Oxyride batteries let you take about 250 photos(DMC-LS75/LS70)/ 260 photos(DMC-LS60). Because AA size batteries can be purchased almost anywhere, you don't have to worry about suddenly running out of battery power. This is great both for taking everyday snapshots and when you are traveling.

The Oxyride batteries are included as a standard accessory.

Number of Photos Possible (approx.)*

*CIPA standard.

Oxyride batteries: Due to the characteristics of these dry cell batteries, the camera may not show the remaining power level accurately. The camera may indicate full power remaining even after extended battery use. In some cases the camera may display a low-battery warning and switch the power off, even though it indicates full power remaining.
Operating Temperature: 32°F–104°F(0°C–40°C)
Operating Humidity: 10%–80%
*Please note that the performance of the Oxyride batteries and the alkaline batteries significantly decreases in low temperature conditions.

Built-in Memory 27MB

Take photos even when you don't have an SD/SDHC Memory Card on hand. The built-in memory holds up to 27 MB of image data, which you can later copy to an SD/SDHC Memory Card or PC. You can also copy images from a memory card or PC to the built-in memory, and view them on the LCD anytime you like.

3x Optical Zoom with 7.2-megapixel (DMC-LS75/LS70) / 6-megapixel (DMC-LS60) Resolution

The DMC- LS75/LS70/LS60 is equipped with a bright 3x optical zoom lens (equivalent to a 35mm-105mm zoom on a 35mm film camera) that captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes. Use the Extra Optical Zoom when you want to pull the subject in just a little closer. It extends the 3x optical zoom ratio to 4.5 x(DMC-LS75/LS70, 35mm equivalent: 157mm) / 4.1x(DMC-LS60, 35mm equivalent: 143mm) at resolutions of 3 megapixels or less, by using the central part of the CCD. Adding the Extra Optical Zoom* to the 4x digital zoom** extends the total zooming power to a maximum of 18x (DMC-LS75/LS70, 35mm equivalent: 630mm) / 16.5x (DMC-LS60, 35mm equivalent: 577mm). With this powerful zooming function, you can easily capture and magnify distant subjects.

*In the U.S. market, the Extra Optical Zoom is called the Extended Optical Zoom.
**As digital magnification increases, resolution significantly decreases.

Easy ZoomNew

Now, zooming is even easier. Even when the zoom is set to a position lower than 3x, the first press of the Easy Zoom button immediately gives you the maximum 3x power of the optical zoom. A second press delivers the maximum 4.5x (DMC-LS75/LS70) / 4.1x (DMC-LS60) power of the Extra Optical Zoom.* This lets you bring your subject right up close, easily and comfortably.

*If the resolution is set to a level higher than 3-megapixel, the camera will automatically change it to 3-megapixel. Pressing the button a third time will return the lens to the wide-end (1x) position, and reset the resolution to the ordinary level. If the resolution is set to 3-megapixel or less, the image will be taken at the set level.
